WIJE RESIDENCE

New Fairfield, Connecticut
2007
Role: Project Designer while at James Cleary Architecture

The property as it exists at 67 Ball Pond Road East covers approximately one third of an acre, on the northeast corner of Ball Pond in New Fairfield, Connecticut. Within the heavily wooded site propped against the waters edge are three existing structures. The first of which is the main house originally built in the 1920’s and used as a summer refuge. The other two structures are the guesthouse and the garage, all of which were built at a later date. The design for the project was to incorporate contemporary ideas and needs into the existing shells that would ultimately be respectful of this quality.
