Tweed Studio is an architecture firm founded by Haily and Aaron Tweedie, a wife and husband team.

We want to first be thought of as problem solvers. Our mission is to help clients evaluate and understand the challenge at hand and work through creatively to solve it. We accomplish this by asking questions, understanding our clients’ needs and vision, and take care not to make assumptions. This approach allows us to tailor each project to our client’s goals and the project’s site with a solution that is human-centric. Problem solving in architecture involves finding symbiosis between context and program. In addition to discovering each project’s unique story, we are sensitive to light, air, and views - the foundations for environmental and social areas of sustainability.

We consider thoughtfulness and quality in design to be important values in the sustainability of architecture. These qualities are not commonly considered in the discussion of sustainability. If a building is beautiful, functional, and appropriate it is most likely to last a long time and sustain the people who use it.
